  • Make sure you’re clear on the concepts you’re writing about.

Albert Einstein said, “If you can’t explain it to a six-year-old, you don’t understand it yourself.” Before you start writing, take a moment to mentally explain the concept to the six-year-old who lives inside your head. (We all have one, don’t we?) If your writing goal is to achieve a specific result, ask yourself what that result should be. Before you dive into writing, have a clear purpose. Then stick to it.

  • If the message is complex, outline it.

It doesn’t take much efforts and thought-organizing to compose the average text message, but if you are writing something complex then, first of all, you have to gather all the stuff in your mind; what you are going to write before sitting down in front of your study desk. Make some quick notes or outlines about the topic on which you are planning to write this will make your writing easy and saves your lot of time.

  • Anticipate your readers’ questions.

Starts thinking like a reader. Put yourself in your reader’s shoes then you will understand what the audience really wants to read. Do they love what you write?

  • Don’t over-explain everything.

If you have time to organize your thoughts in advance, you should be able to keep things simple. The idea is to give readers just enough to understand what you are communicating without going in deep.

  • Tighten Your Writing

We sometimes write as we talk, that can be a good thing in some cases. It keeps your writing conversational but rumbling, and if you use high vocabulary in your writing then it can make your text hard to read and can make your text sound as though you lack conviction.

  • Keep your sentences simple.

Literary greats can write long, complex sentences with flair. Why not you? As a starter, you don’t need to write like Tolstoy. Short, less complicated sentences are easier to read. Keep it simple, silly! But do vary your sentence length so your writing has a nice flow.
