Gather the tools
Before you begin your face cleanup process, gather all the required tools and products which you need so that you can just relax and focus only on pampering your skin.
- Soft towels
- Cleanser, scrub, toner, pack, toner
- Cotton wool
- Facial steamer
- Ice cold water
DIY skincare products
If you believe in natural products then you can easily make them quite easily at your home without spending much money.
- Cleanser – A pinch of salt added to cold raw milk works as a cleanser.
- Scrub – To make a scrub, mix sugar with honey. You can also take rice flour in place of sugar.
- Pack – Multani mitti with rose water or lemon juice can be used for oily skin, and multani mitti with curd and honey can be used for dry skin.
- Toner – Mix rose water and cucumber juice and refrigerate.
Seven-Step Cleanup Routine
Follow these face cleanup steps for fabulous skin.
Step 1 – Cleanse
The first step is cleansing. You need to clean your face. Soak a wad of cotton wool in the DIY milk cleanser and wipe it off gently but firmly across your face. Don’t forget your ears and neck.
Step 2 – Steam
Once you done with cleaning then the next step is steaming. Steam your face using a facial steamer that is easily available. After taking three to five minutes of steam, wipe your face with clean cotton wool, gentle but firm. Pay attention area towards your nose and across jawline.
Step 3 – Exfoliate
Now you are ready to scrub your face and get rid of any more dead cells present on your skin. Wet your face and apply the mixture of DIY scrub using a circular motion. Leave it on for three to five minutes, wash it off and pet dry your skin.
Step 4 – Mask
Apply the face pack that you have made for yourself on your face and neck using clean brush or hands. Set the timer for 20-30 minutes and wait until it dries. You can dip some cotton wool in ice cold water and place it on your eyes. After the pack dries then wash it off with ice cold water.
Step 5– Tone
After drying your face, apply your DIY face toner on your skin using cotton wool. You can also store this toner for using it during summer.
Step 6 – Moisturiser
Finish your cleanup process by slathering on your favorite moisturizer, which nourishes your skin.
